A few years ago they underwent a whole house eco retrofit to reduce their energy use and tackle extreme damp and mould in their home. They were initially motivated by their desire to reduce their energy consumption, but during the course of the work they ended up learning more about their home and enjoying the whole home improvement process.

“The house is definitely more thermally comfortable – without raising the internal temperature settings.  The walls aren’t cold any more, there are no draughts from the floorboards and the temperature remains constant. Even at the coldest part of the winter, we can leave our central heating off overnight and room temperatures will only drop by two or three degrees.”
